Kemia
COUSCOUS CLUB
A bar-restaurant geared towards small events.
Despite the hype, Praça das Flores remains one of our favorite places in Lisbon. Kemia, which hasn’t been around for long, is a narrow space with a few tables outside, best recognized in the evening by the crowd of people standing with glasses. The Couscous Club every Friday is especially popular in the neighborhood with both young and old and gets booked up quickly: each week features a daily millet-based dish, with the rest being somewhat of a surprise. It’s not very well organized — whether you’ll get a response on Instagram is uncertain. In the worst case, you’ll be standing outside with everyone else, having a drink, especially since there are plenty of alternatives around the square.
