Old Vic
BAR SINCE EVER
Ring, smoke, intellectual debauchery.
The ”Old Victorian” is maybe one the oldest surviving cocktail bars in Lisbon. Art Nouveau plush in a haze of tobacco, special porcelain figurines, and a pool table. And they use cocktail cherries! It has everything: seating niches for groups, bells to call for service, you can adjust the lighting yourself, and you need to ring the bell for entry — it used to be so exclusive that the selected guests could open the door with a membership card. Excellent drinks that take their time and are accompanied by popcorn and/or olives. A small menu with sandwiches, and during our visit, there was foie gras. The operators are the same folks who ran Foxtrot and Pavilhão Chinês. Very traditional, very special. Worth a try.
