Just inland from Praia Grande with its awesome sea water pool at the Arribas, you'll find a well-improvised backpacker hostel nestled in the pine forest, along with a few bars and restaurants with a beer garden vibe: sushi and wine, pancakes and coffee, craft beer and grilled sausages, vegan and vegetarian options. Plus, yoga, acupuncture, e-bikes, surf equipment, women's fashion, playground, sometimes a market or live music. Those exploring the area find it very relaxing to take a break here. Originally, the site was a holiday resort of the Portuguese railway company. Camping is also possible in the "village by the beach".
