Parque Venâncio Ribeiro da Costa

LITTLE SINTRA — NICE VIEWS — JAZZ

If you want to skip Sintra, make a brief stop here.

About 100 years ago, a mayor named Venâncio Ribeiro da Costa aimed to elevate the neglected village of Palmela to the next level. Inspired by Sintra, he created a richly romantic park that bears his name. It’s a beautiful area around an old mill with views of the Sado and Tejo rivers and the Atlantic Ocean. A few meters further is the equally lovely viewpoint Dom Nuno Álvares Pereira. For those who want a drink with a view, there’s the Culto Panorâmico. And in the summer, there’s Wine Jazz.
