Praia da Figueirinha
BEACH — BAR
A swimming beach with a stunning panorama — occasionally interrupted by passing ships carrying cars for the global market.
Aside from a few meters of sand at the city’s edge, this is Setúbal's main beach. It’s always accessible from Sesimbra, but from Setúbal, the narrow road is sometimes closed during the busy season due to traffic chaos. The water is calm at the mouth of the Sado River, with views of Tróia, and occasionally a container ship passes by. We usually stop for a coffee at the large bar. Nearby, there are additional swimming spots, identifiable by seemingly random parked cars in the middle of nowhere.
