Most neighborhoods in Lisbon still boast easily accessible market halls. They’re all pretty much the same. Alvalade stands out here because it's wonderfully ordinary — and because Alvalade is worth a visit, even if you’re not supposed to spread the word. And then there’s a true hidden gem: a restaurant on the edge of the hall called ”Sem Palavras” (without words). It ranks high on our personal list of ”Seafood in Lisbon” forget about making a reservation. Just wait patiently on the bench outside the door. Usually not for too long. The restaurant is open until late.
