The market hall is the place to shop throughout Portugal.

Even if the bananas don’t come from the region: a visit to the market hall is still the best way to preserve the area from even more Lidl branches. Fish and poultry, fruit and vegetables, bread and cheese, olives and ham. All available in small quantities and without plastic waste. Also recommended is the lady with the sweet jams and the spicy oil — both come in jam jars. Freshly renovated, closed on Mondays.

On Saturdays, behind the hall, there is also the street market, which is more than local because old ladies sell oranges or onions from their own garden. You can also find shirts from Cucci and sunglasses from Raybam there.
