If you need to fill the fridge on a larger scale, it might be worthwhile to take a ten-minute drive to the suburbs of Sesimbra. You’ll pass by there anyway by car. It’s the largest supermarket in the vicinity with a comprehensive selection and an impressive variety of wines. Not a discount store, but cheaper than, for example, Pingo Doce a few streets away. In the center, there’s also an electronics store, a clothing store, and a pharmacy. Other branches all over Portugal and in most malls, also selling household items, toys, suitcases and a lot else.
